30 min lesson -----$33.75
60 min lesson -----$67.50
Invoices will be sent out monthly. We accept cash, checks, and online payments payable to CSoM. We also accept credit card payments via a link on your invoice.
Payments and Late Fees
Tuition is due in full by the first week of each month. A $10 late fee will be applied after the first week. There is no refund for same-day cancellations.
We expect our students to practice every day. The amount of practice time depends on the student's age and level and will be determined by their teacher. Parental guidance is essential for younger students.
Cancellation and makeup lessons
THERE IS NO REFUND FOR SAME-DAY CANCELLATIONS. With sicknesses or other health-related events, teachers will offer a makeup credit that expires after 30 days. Your makeup lesson might be with someone other than your primary teacher. You are responsible for getting on the calendar by contacting your teacher before the 30 days are up. Each student can receive up to 3 makeup lessons per year to use in the event of sickness, vacations, doctor appointments, etc.
When you sign up for a lesson time, we reserve that time slot each week specifically for you. You will be billed for that time slot for the entire academy year. There are no refunds for missed lessons with less than a 24-hour notice except for emergencies. If the teacher cancels the lesson, it will be rescheduled at your convenience or refunded.
Recitals and Performances
We hold biannual recitals and various competitions and events throughout the year. All students are strongly encouraged to utilize the opportunity of performances as a delightful and exhilarating experience. In addition, it is beneficial for students to have the chance to share their performances as well as to listen to their peers.
CSoM will be open on most national holidays. However, lessons that would usually occur on these days can be rescheduled at both the student's and teacher's convenience with AT LEAST ONE WEEK ADVANCED NOTICE.
We will be closed on the following days:
Thanksgiving Break Nov 20 – Nov 25
Winter Break Dec 22– Jan 2
Spring Break Apr 1 – Apr 6
The teacher retains the right to dismiss any students for reasons including, but not limited to, excessive absences, unpaid tuition, or abuse of studio property. If students wish to terminate lessons, we will refund the student any remaining balance left in that month.
By enrolling in CSoM and signing this studio policy, the student and their guardian(s) consent to and authorize Chesapeake School of Music to use video-audio recordings and photographs of the student for promotional and educational purposes only. We will notify students before any material is used. Please get in touch with us if you wish to have any material removed.
A video surveillance system is used in the studio during lessons. This system records every aspect of the activities in the studio. We will not use the video obtained from this system for purposes other than evaluating the effectiveness of the music instruction and safety concerns. Under no circumstances will the videotape be shown to third parties without the parent's consent or under a court order.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding anything, don't hesitate to contact your primary teacher. If there is a substantial problem that you need help to resolve with your teacher, please get in touch with the director, Simeon Kim, at email@example.com.
